Kyiv Contemporary Music Days in Berlin

Kyiv Contemporary Music Days (KCMD) presents a concert series bringing contemporary Ukrainian music to Berlin. Organized in collaboration with Berlin-based ensembles, the series introduces the practices of Kyiv's new music scene through performances by Ukrainian musicians in dialogue with artists from Germany and beyond.

The programme features works written between 2014 and 2023 by a new generation of Ukrainian composers, often referred to as the Maidan generation.

In partnership with ensemble mosaik and Ensemble KNM Berlin, the series opens on 10–11 June with UP TO THREE – andernorts II at Acker Stadt Palast, followed by a closing event on 1 July at Villa Elisabeth, featuring multimedia and concert projects dedicated to the sound of Kyiv’s contemporary music scene.
